the elections. You can also email the headlines to your friends.
- Results: The latest election results for both the parties.
- Voting Calendar: View dates for all the important events in
this election, including the various primaries, caucuses, conventions and
final elections.
- The Candidates: Information on candidates of both parties,
including the latest headlines, profile, images, timeline, and their take on
major issues.
- Candidate Game: Find the candidate that best matches your views on
various major issues.
- Polls: View the USA TODAY/Gallup poll results for each candidate, including
historical results. Also, take part in a mobile-only interactive poll. You will also be able
to see the results of the same poll taken by other users of the application.
Navigating the Menu Options
Navigate the menu options using the UP and DOWN (or track wheel) controls.
Candidate Game
Answer all the questions in the game and submit your answers. The candidates that
best matche your views are shown as the result.
Take a Poll
To take part in the interactive poll survey, answer the questions and
submit your answers. You will be able to see the results of the same poll taken
by other users of the application.
Email This
You can Email the news headlines to your friends. The Email will contain
a link to the full news article on the USA TODAY website.
Key Assignments & Navigation Short Cuts
- Use the arrow keys/track wheel on your phone to move among menu options
and dates in calendar screen (UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT).
- Use the numeric and alphabet keys on your phone to enter characters in the
text input screens like Feedback and Email This.
- "*" or "DEL" key fuctions as backspace in text input screens.
- Press "#" key to delete a character in text input screens.
- If your phone has a track wheel, then you can press the "ALT" key while
moving the track wheel to navigate LEFT-RIGHT, while without the "ALT" key,
the track wheel navigation is UP-DOWN.
What is USA TODAY Election 2008?
USA TODAY Election 2008 is a downloadable mobile application that allows the
user to track the upcoming US elections from the convenience of their mobile
phone. The user can access latest primaries and election results, news
headlines, election events calendar, polls and candidate information including
their profiles, slideshows, position on various issues and more. The user can
also take part in interactive quizzes such as the "Candidate Match Game" that
allows users to find the candidate most like them in political views.
